EDITOR’S NOTE: This event was upended by Hurricane Helene. It’s been rescheduled for Oct. 24. Same bat time, same bat place!
I didn’t quite get what I was agreeing to at first when I agreed. Or I knew and forgot. But I will be taking part in a Poetry is Pretentious, Melodically Challenged and Mayor’s Office of Film, Entertainment, and Nightlife event in the Grant Park section of Atlanta Sept. 26.
I meant to do a poetry post this weekend but time got away from me, very worthy doing and resting. Only so much doing and resting one can do before the time is gone.
I’m also, hopefully, remembering to take part in Georgia Poetry Society‘s monthly open mike that is now themed, even though I hate themes. This month’s theme is abecedarian, and so I wrote a very poor one hobbled together that may or may not bear fruit.
