Come see my wonderful friend at a bookstore near you (hopefully) as he shares with the world his collection of macabre tales: “Backwaters.”
His collection of short stories is shocking, horrifying and, at turns, hilarious. His comedic timing is impeccable, and if you’ve ever been to central Alabama, you will experience the verisimilitude amid all the eco- and bodily horror dreamed up by the 3-D printer that is Rozelle’s brain.
He and I go way, way back, all the way back to the University of South Alabama. And now we’re geezers with jobs. Imagine that.
I know no one is reading this blog because I abandoned it many, many years ago, but social media has devolved into a freak show. All hail the algorithm, which has ruined and continues to ruin lives and careers. So it may be time to breathe new life into this website as I attempt to continue my artistic pursuits while dealing with the horrors of the summer of 2024.
